Shockwave therapy in Sanford, NC

A non-invasive, non-surgical treatment that uses focused acoustic waves to stimulate healing, reduce pain and restore mobility — including in conditions that have not responded to traditional care.

About the service

Healing stimulated, not masked

Shockwave therapy delivers targeted energy to damaged tissue in the form of acoustic waves. Those waves stimulate cellular repair, increase blood flow and break down scar tissue, triggering your body’s own healing response rather than covering the pain signal.

Sessions are quick — typically 15 to 20 minutes — and require no downtime, anesthesia or injections. Most patients complete a short series of visits, and it works for both acute injuries and long-standing chronic conditions.

What it treats

Not everyone is a candidate. If you are pregnant, have a blood disorder or take anticoagulants, tell us first and we will advise honestly.

About the service

Healing stimulated, not masked

01

Non-invasive

No incisions, no anesthesia, no injections — a handpiece on the skin is the whole procedure.

02

No downtime

Sessions run 15 to 20 minutes and you return to normal activity the same day.

03

Stimulates regeneration

Acoustic waves drive cellular repair, collagen formation and improved circulation in the treated tissue.

04

Breaks down scar tissue

No incisions, no anesthesia, no injections — a handpiece on the skin is the whole procedure.

05

An alternative to surgery

For chronic tendon and joint pain it offers a route that avoids the cost, risk and recovery of an operation.

06

Evidence-backed

Extracorporeal shockwave therapy is supported by clinical study across musculoskeletal conditions.

Our process

What a course of care looks like

1

Assessment

Your first visit starts with a full history and a movement and palpation exam to locate the exact tissue involved. We confirm shockwave is appropriate for your condition, rule out contraindications, and map how many sessions you are likely to need.

2

Treatment sessions

A handpiece delivers acoustic waves directly to the treatment area for roughly 15 to 20 minutes. You may feel a firm tapping and some tenderness during the pulse. There is no anesthesia and no recovery period — you walk out and carry on with your day.

3

Reassessment and support

We re-measure pain and range of motion as the series progresses and adjust intensity accordingly. Where it helps, we pair shockwave with adjustments, soft-tissue work or functional medicine testing so the underlying cause is addressed too.
